Today I worked on the avionics bay of my Broken Arrow 54 high power rocket. My design for the 3D printed avionics bay is nearly perfect. It’ll hold an Eggtimer Quantum, Eggfinder GPS Tracker, battery and magnetic switch. This av-bay is a different design that anything I’ve seen. To help with GPS tracker telemetry, I’m running Kevlar up the middle of the av-bay instead of the typical threaded steel rods. The only steel in the av-bay is two eye bolts on one end of the bay.
